SIEGE EQUIPMENT DEFINED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: Battering ram, laddermen, enchanted orb, trebuchet, cat, siege tower / seige tower, and manlets.King Arthur Seige Equipment Advantages / disadvantages:
Battering Ram: This seige item is used to knock down your enemies gatehouse. This siege item is weak against knights and very ineffective, but can be used to distract enemy while you prepare for a wave of attack. You can also use this seige item as extra protection from enemy archers.
Laddermen: Used climb over enemy walls. Completely ineffective if enemy has moats placed in front of castle. HINT: Even though an enemy might have a full moat, you can still use laddermen if the moat is narrow, or if the enemy didn't completely cover castle with moat. Once you manage to land ladders on castle wall, place mace men on gatehouse to take control of it.
Enchanted Orb: Delivers a massive iron ball that will knock down any unit in its path. After orb has stopped rolling, it explodes injuring nearby opponents. An amazing seige item. Orbs can easily be destroyed by enemy knights or mace men. You can also use enchanted orbs to destroy enemy walls.
Trebuchet: Trebuchets are the most powerful seige item for King Arthur. you can hurl rocks from a great distance which will destroy enemies castle. A common rule in online play is not to use trebs because it adds such an uneven twist to the game.
Cat: Used to protect archers, catapults, crossbowmen or any other unit from opposing archers or any other projectiles.
Seige tower: Mount archers or crossbowmen in this seige tower to increase their range.
Manlets: A low level protection against enemy archers. Manlets are most popular with king of the hill scenario in online stronghold legends play. You can encircle a group of knights with manlets to protect against enemy archers.
